What line does KVD use?
Braided line has little or no stretch, making working with top-water lures easier. When I’m fishing top-water lures for bass, I may use a smaller diameter line, like 30-pound-test braid I’ll also use either 30- or 65-pound-test braid to fish standing timber, bushes or brush.

Braided fishing tends to maintain its flexibility over time and has very low line memory naturally. So applying line conditioner to braid to reduce line memory is pointless.
Can you use Vaseline on a fishing reel?
Well, if you don’t have any fishing reel oil in hand, you can certainly use Vaseline Vaseline mainly acts as a grease. So it won’t reach the smallest part of the reel. But you can keep the parts lubed which are reachable.
